Today Rajkot updated news link-aadhaar-with-voter-list Aadhaar-Voter ID Linking: The Union Cabinet approved a bill on electoral reforms, allowing the linking of Aadhaar to voter ID cards – one of the key proposals pushed by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The bill will also permit those who exercise their rights in the very first instance up to four times to sign up in a year.
At present, people who turn 18 or older before January 1 of each year are only able to vote at a single time. The election law will be gender-neutral for voters who are service-based. It is possible to link to Aadhaar with voter identification cards via National Voter Service Portal, SMS, telephone, or visiting booth-level officials.
HERE’S HOW TO LINK AADHAAR TO A VOTER ID CARD THROUGH THE NATIONAL VOTER SERVICE PORTAL:
Step 1: Visit https://voterportal.eci.gov.in/
Step 2: Log in with your mobile number, email ID, or Voter ID Number and password.
Step 3: Enter the state district, state, and personal details such as name, birth date, birth, and the father’s name.
Step 4: After filling in your details, click the “Search. If the information entered by you is in the official database, then those data will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Click the “Feed Aadhaar No ” option, which will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.
Step 6: A Pop-up will show up where you’ll have to fill in your name according to your Aadhaar Card, Aadhaar Number, Voter ID, and your registered mobile number or email address that you have registered.
Step 7: Once you’ve entered all information correctly, Make sure you cross-check it, then press the “Submit.
Step 8. A message will be displayed on the screen that says your application was successfully registered.

Another way to connect an Aadhar card to a Voter ID is to call the call centers set to serve this purpose.
All you have to do is dial 1950 on weekdays, between 10 am and 5 pm, and provide your voter ID number and Aadhaar card details to connect both.

You can also connect your Aadhar card to your Voter ID by applying at the nearest booth office. The officer at the booth will check all the information and might even visit your home to verify your information. After verification, the information will be recorded in the record.

You can check the status of your application by visiting the NVSP website – https://voterportal.eci.gov.in/ – and entering the information as stated in the section ‘Seeding Through NVSP Portal’. A notice stating that your application has been approved and is in the process will be displayed.
